Custom workshops — developed just for you
Each year, Mixed Company playwrights and consultants work with educators and school board members throughout Ontario to develop timely productions that address current issues within the student population. Sometimes, though, a school experiences unique challenges or unforeseen events, and may be looking for a creative solution that encourages input from all members of the school population.
Mixed Company's made-to-order workshops are an ideal, safe way to bring together all of the parties affected by a particular issue. Our trained facilitators will work with school leaders to objectively analyze the challenge and create a fun, interactive workshop that encourages contributions from everyone involved. During the workshop, participants will work together, with the facilitator's guidance, to understand all of the perspectives and create a positive solution.
By using theatre as an educational tool, Mixed Company Theatre stimulates critical thinking and engages students in active problem-solving. Our teaching guides are designed to help educators integrate ourproductions into their own learning plans, and continue the active discussions long after we have left the building. MXCO has provided made-to-order workshops and Forum Theatre presentations to help address the following educational sector issues:
